| 概要 | The student was diagnosed as having a disability of forearm rotation caused by a fracture of the distal radius. The therapy consisted of muscle power up and gentle slow pull exercise accompanied by a dynamic splinting method to support the tissues surrounding the joint. As a result of the 4-month therapy, both the pronation and supination improved to 90º and the grasp strength increased to 42kg.We were able to obtain good results due to the following factors – 1) good condition of the surrounding tissues, 2) application of suitable hand therapy program, and 3) succeeded in instituting the most suitable traction by using an original splint. |
