| 概要 | Sports occupy an important place in the life of elementary school children and community based sports clubs can provide children with adequate opportunities to exercise. However, studies have indicated problems faced by these clubs. We conducted two online surveys in order to examine conditions of community sports clubs. In Study 1, coaches (N=150) described situations in which they experience a sense of fulfillment, as well as problems they faced using free-responses. Results indicated that coaches felt a sense of fulfillment when children grow up, win, and are active and happy. Coaches had difficulties in maintaining appropriate relationships with parents, in dealing with children having difficult personalities, and children who were not serious about sports. Study 2 inquired coaches (N=456) about the degree to which they experienced problems and a sense of fulfillment. Results indicated that licensed coaches, and those coaching low-level teams experienced more problems with parents. |
