| 概要 | The validity of Hong Kong based scale test measuring the public attitudes of different kinds of disabled persons was tested in Lebanon. Its cross-cultural validation was proved, and in Lebanon as well, the negative attitudes towards people with metal retardation and mental illness was more severe than that towards other kinds. In Lebanon, however, people have rather tolerant and positive attitudes towards deaf people. From focus group interview, it was mentioned that Lebanese people's tendency of judging people based of physical appearance may be related to this tendency, which is different from finding of Hong Kong. |
