Details The primary purpose of this study is to implement FUZOKU CAN-DO, a framework consisting of learning objectives to be achieved at each grade of the elementary and secondary schools and evaluating measures that comply with the objectives. The goals of the implementation of the framework are (1)to develop materials for teaching and evaluating based on FUZOKU CAN-DO, and (2)to modify the framework itself. This report provides specific examples of how the framework was put into operation. One thing to be noted here is that this is the first attempt of a full-scale application of the framework, which was developed in the previous year; therefore the initial phase of the study required the accommodation of the existing syllabus to FUZOKU CAN-DO, preventing the complete implementation of all the components of it. The results of the study, however, show a promoted shared understanding of teaching objectives among the teaching staff.
