Details This paper discusses the use of ICT, which is a central issue in the GIGA school project as an educational policy, in foreign language education from the perspective of ICT use and educational outcomes, based on the results of a PISA analysis by the OECD secretariat. The paper suggests what aspects of ICT should be paid attention to in foreign language education in order to improve teaching and learning with ICT as a "tool for learning" rather than as a "tool for teaching".
