Details 査読あり原著論文、共著。世界最深のマリアナ海溝などに生息するヨコエビの1種、カイコウオオソコエビは、生物量の乏しい超深海において、何をエネルギー源としているかこれまで謎であった。このヨコエビにおける酵素活性を調べることで、繊維質を糖類に効率的に変える新たなセルラーゼを発見すると同時に。カイコウオオソコエビの食性の謎を突き止めることに成功した。また、本酵素は新規性が高く、バイオマス(生物資源)を基にした燃料や食料の生産に応用が期待できる。本研究は多くのマスコミに取り上げられ大きな話題となった。共著者:Kobayashi, H., Hatada, Y., Tsubouchi, T., Nagahama, T., & Takami, H.]
