| 概要 | We developed meridian and muscle region stretching (MMS) based on Oriental medicine. And we examined the effects of MMS on alleviation of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Twenty-one subjects without diseases related to bone and joints were randomly divided into the control, stretch and MMS groups (7 each). The pain measured under various conditions was significantly lower in many cases in the MMS group than in the control group, and in some cases in the MMS group than in the stretch group.
