| 概要 | The study compared longevity of people from Fukui Prefecture with people from the west coast region of the United States. Interviews of school children and college students were used for the purpose of comparison. Program Purpose:dentify cultural and behavioral factors which harm health that result in premature death. Identify cultural and behavioral factors which protect health and may lead to long life. Compare and contrast harmful and protective factors. Recommend strategies for promoting long life. Qualitative Research Project: Conduct interviews with school children and college students in Japan and the U.S. Engage in Japanese cultural experiences and home stays. Compare and contrast U.S. and Japanese lifestyles and culture. |
