|概要||The aim of this study was to describe and compare self-reported, individual disaster readiness among clinical nurses with and without dispatched disaster experience.
The Short-form Japanese version of the Readiness Estimate and Deployability Index (READI-J-S) (Maeda et.al. 2016) was used to evaluate nursing disaster readiness. Anonymous self-administered questionnaires were sent to 1,802 registered nurses. The respondents consisted of 450 experienced nurses (response rate: 64.7%) and 699 inexperienced nurses (response rate: 63.1%). Chi-square tests were used to compare preparedness based on demographics.
The results demonstrated that inexperienced nurses had moderate disaster readiness and training needs. Disaster training is important for inexperienced nurses to improve operational competency.
