| 概要 | In this research, we conducted an experiment to examine the differences and if Japanese learners of English acquire these. We asked English native speakers and Japanese learners of English to describe the events on the picture cards freely in English. Japanese participants were again required to answer in Japanese after one week. We then compared and analyzed their descriptions. The result shows certain differences in tendencies of their language preferences of construals, especially with regards to which participant of the event the speaker focuses on and from whose perspective the event is described. |
