Details This symposium reports on the following two areas that will lead to the development of physical therapy in the future. In the study of dysphagia, swallowing rehabilitation, suprahyoid muscle group activity, and repetitive saliva swallowing test (RSST) were evaluated to study 1) the effect of thermotherapy in the front of the neck with paraffin, 2) the elbow position while sitting, and 3) the effect of stretching the infrahyoid muscles. In the study of Spa therapy, bathing, mood status, and sleep were evaluated by the Profile of Mood States (POMS) and Oguri–Shirakawa–Azumi sleep inventory MA version (OSA-MA) tests to study the effects of 1) changing bathing habits, 2) keeping warm after bathing, and 3) bath additive.
