Details | This paper reconsiders the female bodily descriptions in Molly Bloom's monologue from the current context. I reexamine bodily descriptions of women in 'Penelope' and argue that those descriptions were important rather than obscene for women in the early twentieth century. I also reconsider those descriptions in the current context to see how foresighted Molly's monologue is in that it is encouraging for women who have experienced
