概要 This presentation will introduce a wide range of ways in which language teachers can use
new technology and smart devices in, and out, of the language classroom, as well as review the potential problems linked to an over-reliance on technology. An increasing number of students constantly carry smartphones and other connected devices, which can be integrated in traditional class activities, exploited to promote creativity, or simply used for completing homework assignments. The topics covered will include practical examples such as live peer assessment of presentations, and survey creation and management. In addition, there will be a discussion on the feasibility and usefulness of introducing e-reading in regular reading classes, as well as in extensive reading programmes.
