概要 This paper discussing the details and lineage of embryogenesis in the four families of Scorpionflies. The phylogenetic relationships inferred from the characteristics of eggs immediately after spawning and early development are as follows.
Since only the inner layer formation of the hangingfly family is proliferative, the hangingfly family is the original. Eggs of the hangingfly family are the most primitive because they have many yolk granules and poor egg cytoplasm. Primary yolk nuclei aggregates are found in the Scorpionflies and Panorpidae families, which are derivative traits of these two families. Only the Scorpionfly family has polar granules, which is a derivative trait of the Scorpionfly family. Since only Panorpidae is a half-long embryo type, Panorpidae is a derivative. Only the Panorpidae is an immersed embryo, which is a synapomorphy of the Panorpidae.
