| 概要 | Teachers working in a social language learning space wear a different hat to the one they wear in the classroom. Similarly, students working in these spaces wear a different hat to the one they wear as users of the space or participants in a class.
This presentation outlines the roles undertaken by undergraduate students in a learning space at a private university in Japan, and a children’s space at the university’s affiliated elementary school. Drawing on interviews and students’ reflective writing, this presentation explores through metaphors how the volunteers perceive their roles, and also reflects on the presenter’s multiple roles. |
