概要 Five N-terminal analogs of polymyxin B (2-10) with unusual amino acids bearing cyclohexyl rings were synthesized and their biol. activity was examd. The trans-4-aminocyclohexylcarbonyl-polymyxin B (2-10) had higher antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa than polymyxin B. The cis-3-aminocyclohexylcarbonyl-polymyxin B (2-10) had potent antimicrobial activity against P. aeruginosa but had low activity against Salmonella Typhimurium.
